Part number is the fastest starting point, but rebuild accuracy also depends on the machine, axle or transmission model and the physical disc. For uncertain references, send photos of both faces plus OD, ID, thickness and tooth or lug count. Drawings and samples can be reviewed for custom production.
Why this matters
The cost of a friction disc is small compared with reopening a transmission, axle or wet-brake pack. The goal is not simply to match a number; it is to reduce the chance of wrong fit, wrong friction behavior and inconsistent repeat orders.
